UN World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims

CCSJ joined Arrive Alive on Sunday 21 Nov. to mark UN World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. CCSJ’s Richard Smith and team joined the walk from Mosquito Creek – outside Paria Suites – to Godineau Bridge. There were also two other ‘walks’ – one in Port of Spain and the other in Tobago.

“The commemorative march at Mosquito Creek attracted a decent crowd despite the inclement weather,” said Richard. “Former national football captain Clayton Morris was most present as he recalled the death of five young sport fans at the Creek on their way to a match at the Oval last year. There were some emotional moments at the wreath laying ceremony when families of victims reflected on their lost ones. We pray for them all.”
