CCSJ opens its door to all

The Catholic Commission for Social Justice (CCSJ) on Wednesday 1st June opened the floor to the suburban vicariate in St. Charles, Tunapuna. The forum hosted by Leela Ramdeen proved only to be a taste of the CCSJ’s plan to introduce a social justice committee in every parish in Trinidad and Tobago.

Spiritual Baptist Liberation Celebration London 2011

On Saturday May 14th, Trinidadian Rev Patricia Stephens organised a Service of Thanksgiving at All Saints Church, Clydesdale Road, Ladbroke Grove, London from 2:30-5:00 p.m. to mark Spiritual Baptist Liberation Day. TT’s Deputy High Commissioner to the UK, Mrs Gopaul, was guest of honour. Spiritual Baptist Bishop from Vance River, Trinidad, Bishop Gary Vesprey, was the key celebrant.  CCSJ’s Chair, Leela Ramdeen, was a special guest who also addressed those gathered. She focused on Pope Benedict XVI’s Message on World Day of Peace, 1 Jan 2011 – Religious Freedom: The Path to Peace.”

CCSJ joined Arrive Alive on Sunday 21 Nov. to mark UN World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. CCSJ’s Richard Smith and team joined the walk from Mosquito Creek – outside Paria Suites – to Godineau Bridge. There were also two other ‘walks’ – one in Port of Spain and the other in Tobago.
